Stephen is the owner of the Unique Captures Gallery located in Penticton British Columbia. He has set a lifetime goal to always improve his craft and provide the space for other talented photographers to display their printed works. Constantly searching for those perfect moments when the magical light embraces nature in all its glory so he can bring home another unique capture from mother natures beautiful playground.
He has been a passionate photographer since he was a young child. In fact, pinpointing the exact time that his passion began is quite easy. At only 8 years old his grandparents came to visit his family in Vancouver BC with their Polaroid Instamatic camera. Thankfully, someone let him take a few family photos of everyone sitting around enjoying their time together. With plenty of praise and compliments Stephen was empowered to capture for the first time!
Stephen first came to visit Penticton for a weekend getaway in 1987 and was instantly captivated by the peaceful surroundings, beautiful mountains, spectacular lake views and the magnificent colours. (Oh and don’t forget the sun) In less than a month he moved to Penticton and has never looked back. Over twenty wonderful years have passed and he continues to call Penticton home with his family where he is the active owner and operator of two businesses.
